On November 29, 2012 between 5pm and 7pm as well as on December 1, 2012 between 9am and noon, a blood donor clinic is being held in honour of Alysha Dykstra. Alysha was diagnosed at the age of 4 years with Leukemia. She has fought her way back to health and is doing great! During her battle she received over 40 blood transfusions from people like you. The Guelph Police Service has partnered with Alysha and the Canadian Blood Services for years with many of our members taking time to donate on a regular basis, as well as registering with OneMatch. The Guelph Police Service encourages you to donate this holiday season and help those in need. It’s in you to give! Call 1 888 2 DONATE (1 888 236 6283) or visit www.blood.ca for information on both donating blood and registering with OneMatch (stem cell registry).
