Ontario Crime Prevention Week – November 4-10, 2012
The Guelph Police Service wishes to advise city residents that November 4-10, 2012 is Crime Prevention Week in Ontario. This year’s theme -Engaged Communities Prevent Crime- is a week that is dedicated to recognizing the efforts of our police officers and to making you more aware of what each member of the community can do to reduce crime and enhance community safety.
The Guelph Police Service will be doing the following presentations in area schools during Crime Prevention Week 2012.
Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5
10 PC RADAR Traffic Safety to JK/SK kindergarten classes
6 PC RADAR Traffic Safety to Grade 1 classes
5 Seatbelt Safety to Grade 2 classes
9 Internet Safety lessons to Grade 3 and 4 classes
5 Anti-Bullying lessons to Grade 5 classes
Grade 6 through 8
8 Drugs Awareness Presentations in elementary schools
1 Cyber Bullying / Internet Safety in an elementary school
1 Open Forum Presentation in an elementary school
High Schools
8 Presentations to high school students on Online Safety
