One Airlifted To Hospital Following Head On Collision

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey Road 4 remains closed between Road 55 and Road 63 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands due to a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles that is currently under investigation by Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI).

At approximately 8:46 a.m. this morning, February 21, 2018, Grey County OPP, together with members of the Grey County Paramedic Services (EMS), Grey Highlands Fire Department and the Dundalk Fire Department responded to the scene.

Initial investigation indicates that a passenger vehicle and a pick-up truck that were travelling in opposite directions on Grey Road 4 near Road 57B collided head-on.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 56-year old female from Grey Highlands, was transported via ambulance to hospital and subsequently air lifted to a hospital in Toronto where she is in critical condition.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 17-year old male from Grey Highlands, was not injured.
