(HURON TWP, ON) – On July 15, 2015 at 5:32 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a head on crash on Lake Range Drive in Huron Township. Officers arrived to find that a south bound Silver Chevrolet Impala was in the north bound lane when it struck a north bound Grey Ford Explorer.
The driver of the Impala, a 24-year-old Huron Township man, was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the Explorer, an 18 year old North Perth male and a 17 year old Huron East female, were treated for serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.
The investigation culminated on August 13, 2015 with a criminal charge. Twenty-Four year old Cody MCPHERSON of Huron Township was charged with dangerous driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 24, 2015 to answer to the charge.
