Mississauga– Officers from 12 Division have arrested a male who was in possession of a stolen vehicle that was taken during a residential break and enter in Toronto. The male was also identified as the culprit in two separate previous incidents, both of which occurred in Mississauga.
On November 15, 2016, Officers from 12 Division located a stolen Dodge Avenger in the area of Dundas Street and Stanfield Road in Mississauga. The vehicle was associated to a break and enter that had occurred on an earlier date at a residence in Toronto. At 1:50 p.m., a 32 year old male was arrested while entering the front seat of the vehicle.
During the investigation, members of the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau were able to identify the accused as the culprit responsible for a robbery, which occurred on October 22, 2016 in the area of Lakeshore and Cawthra Roads in Mississauga. In addition, the accused was also responsible for a theft that occurred at a business on May 22, 2016, on Argentia Road in Mississauga.
Omar Shane THOMAS, a 32 year old male of no fixed address has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence, Robbery, and Theft Under Five Thousand Dollars.
Omar Shane THOMAS was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton on November 16, 2016.
