Old Boys Club Crashes Police Meeting – OPP Forced To Defend Honor Of Officers Against OBC BS

In a disgraceful attempt to keep the OPP out of Wingham several disheveled and confused members of the Old Boys Club asked questions to slam and discredit the OPP at the 17Jan2018 police costing meeting. We expected as much from a group led by a profiteering used car salesman.

The OPP had to interject and defend the honor the OPP constables, as the OBC was claiming the OPP aren’t capable of serving a small community. This is despite the fact all Wingham officers would still be in Wingham doing what they do now, just with new uniforms, equipment, backup, career opportunities, we will save $2.1 million, etc. etc.

The saddest and most transparent attempt was from an elderly woman DEMANDING a yes or no to her impending question. Her question was for the OPP ONLY, “yes or no, can you guarantee….”, no more of the question need to be asked, because the answer is already no. Their questions were crafted this way so the OPP would have to say NO to a variety of questions. A member of the Public quickly asked the same questions to current chief of police tim poole so he had to say no too, to expose and stop this pathetic attempt to discredit the OPP.

Council has been telling the Public for years that the OPP are sub-standard and don’t respond to crimes, so it’s no wonder the Public fears switching to them since they have been lied to for so long by council. Except in the Blyth and E-W wards where they fear switching to Wingham policing.
