On Thursday 25JAN2018 shortly before 11:00 pm, two Owen Sound Police officers were conducting a RIDE in the 700 block of 9 th Street West. The officers stopped a pickup truck and while investigating determined that the vehicle had unauthorized licence plates and altered validation. Officers discovered that the driver had provided a false name and upon determining his correct identity learned that he was a suspended driver and wanted by another jurisdiction.
The officers approached the driver in his vehicle and advised him he was under arrest. The driver immediately began to drive away. Officers attempted to take control of the male and were dragged along for a short distance before dissengaging. Neither officer was injured. The vehicle fled the scene.
The driver, 33 year old Bradley DOHERTY is currently being sought by the Owen Sound Police Service and faces a number of charges: Obstruct police, Personation with intent, Escape custody, Dangerous operation of motor vehicle, breach of court orders and several Provincial
Offences.
