Officers Busy With RIDE Checks and Drinking Drivers

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) Between Friday afternoon September 14, 2012 and Sunday evening September 16, 2012, Perth County OPP officers conducted 13 Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) spot checks. These R.I.D.E. checks were conducted throughout the county in random locations and at various times of the day.

DRUG ARREST MADE AT R.I.D.E. CHECK

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday September 15, 2012, shortly after 8 p.m., while Perth County OPP officers were checking motorists at a R.I.D.E. spot check in the Milverton Main St. South and Mill St. East intersection. The passenger in a stopped vehicle was found to be in possession of a quantity of an illegal drug.

Trevor CULLIGAN (21), from the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with “possession schedule ll Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams”. He has a court date scheduled in Stratford at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 15, 2012 to answer to this charge.
