Officers At RIDE Stop Lay Numerous Charges

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Monday December 26, 2011 shortly after 8:30 p.m. Perth County OPP officers stopped a pickup truck at a RIDE program on James St. N and Glass St. E in St.Marys.

The male driver of the vehicle was smoking a cigarette while one of the passengers was under the age of 16. The 28 year old male driver from the Township of Perth East was charged with “smoke tobacco in prohibited place or area”, “driving while under suspension”, and “drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit”. He is to appear in Stratford court on February 14, 2012 to answer to the driving while suspended charge.
