On May 22, 2015 at 8:17 a.m.,a member of the Guelph Police Service was involved in a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Victoria Road North and Speedvale Avenue East. The collision caused minimal damage to both vehicles involved and neither the police officer or second driver suffered any injuries. As a result of the investigation the police officer was charged with; Start from stopped position not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
