On the 28th of January 2014 at approximately 9:30pm, a passenger on a bus near University Avenue and Hazel Street Waterloo, got into a verbal dispute with the driver. The man was holding a pocket knife during the incident. He left the area and was later arrested without incident while as a passenger on another Grand River Transit bus at Conestoga Mall. No one was injured and the weapon was recovered at the time of the arrest. A 60 year old Waterloo man was charged with making a threat and a weapons charge.
