A 17 year old Harriston youth faces numerous weapons and drug charges following an incident in Kitchener. On the afternoon of the 28th of March 2014, around 3:00pm, there was an altercation involving the youth and several other people near Queen Street and Lancaster Street West in Kitchener. Police were contacted and attended the area. The youth was located a short distance away and arrested without incident. A replica pistol was recovered at the time of the arrest. No one was injured as a result of this incident. The youth, whose identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justices Act, has been charged with Weapons Dangerous, Using a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Threatening and Possession of a Controlled Drug.
