Numerous Sexual Assaults At High School Leads To Arrest

On Thursday, September 14, 2017, at approximately 9:00 am, the Owen Sound Police Service, Criminal Investigations Bureau and Intelligence Unit arrested an 18 year old man for multiple counts of sexual assault and sexual interference.

The investigation began when teen-aged girls reported being inappropriately groped at an Owen Sound high school. The accused was not a student at the school.

The Owen Sound man has been held in custody pending a court appearance later today at 611- 9th Avenue East, courtroom 102 in Owen Sound. He is charged with:

6 Sexual Assault

7 Sexual Assault

8 Sexual Assault

9 Sexual interference

10 Sexual interference

11 Sexual interference

Police are not seeking any other suspects and the school has been notified of the arrest. The Owen Sound Police Service will not be releasing the name of the school or the identity of the accused at this time.
