Notice of Intention to Amend The Corporation of the City of Owen Sound Procedural By-law No. 2007-242

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Owen Sound, pursuant to the Municipal Act, 2001 and City Policy No. CrS-C29, is giving notice that Council will be considering a By-law to amend the City’s Procedural By-law, By-law No. 2007-242, as amended, to make minor housekeeping amendments to the Definitions and other sections to delete “In Camera” and substitute “Closed”, to the Council Meetings sections to amend references to the time and location for Regular Meetings (open or closed), to amend provisions related to notice of Regular Meetings and Special Meetings and to amend the Agenda Format section accordingly.

A public meeting will be held during the Regular Council meeting on October 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers, 808 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound, to allow the public an opportunity to comment on the amendments.

The By-law will be brought forward for Council’s consideration at the November 2, 2015 Regular Council meeting.

Written and verbal comments will be considered at the public meeting on October 13, 2015. Written comments may be submitted to Carolyn Stobo, Deputy Clerk at 808 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 2H4 or by email to [email protected] until October 7, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
