Noah LINDSAY – Dangerous Driving, No Licence, No Insurance

(HOWICK, ON) – An unlicensed driver drew some attention to himself with his erratic and dangerous driving this past weekend in Fordwich. At approximately 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a black Ford Focus travelling southbound on Fordwich Line. The officer observed the driver make an abrupt turn onto Alice Street in what appeared to be an attempt to avoid the officer. The officer attempted to follow the vehicle however it quickly sped off driving in an erratic manner throughout the village of Fordwich. Several concerned citizens witnessed the dangerous driving throughout the village and were able to direct the officer to an Edward Street residence. The suspect vehicle and driver were subsequently located and the driver was arrested for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Further investigation revealed the driver was unlicensed, the vehicle was not insured and the plates on the vehicle were not authorized.

As a result, Noah LINDSAY, 20, from Howick has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Drive Motor Vehicle – No Validation on Plate, Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence, Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle, and Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on June 19, 2014.
