(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On April 17, 2016 at 2:01 a.m., an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in the area of Cape Hurd Road and Highway 6, in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula. The officer stopped the driver of a northbound silver Mazda pick-up truck, for a seatbelt violation. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was administered which resulted in a “fail.” The driver was arrested and transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment for subsequent breath tests.
Twenty-six-year-old, Tanner HUEHN of Northern Bruce Peninsula has been charged with failing to wear a seat belt, driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol and drive motor vehicle with open container of alcohol.
He is scheduled to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on May 5, 2016, to answer to the charges.
