(KINCARDINE, ON) – On March 26th, 2011 at 7:06 am, South Bruce OPP, Tiverton Fire Station, Kincardine Fire Station and Bruce County Ambulance were called to a house fire along Kennard Crescent in Kincardine.
Emergency crews arrived to find a home fully engulfed and flames beginning to spread to the neighbouring houses on either side. Fire fighters quickly extinguished the flames on the neighbouring houses leaving only minor damage to both.
The fire has caused a considerable amount of damage to both the house and a van that was parked in the driveway, but no one was injured. The family was alerted by the smoke detector and escaped to a neighbour’s home across the street.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
