Night Time Patrol Deters Theft

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Saturday February 02, 2013, at 2:12 a.m. Perth County OPP officers on patrol in St.Marys observed an open garage door at a Southvale Road residence.

Officers awakened the home owner and a subsequent check of the garage determined that a gas can had been removed. The gas can was recovered on the driveway and nothing else was damaged or appeared to be missing. It is believed that the responsible person fled on foot after observing police in the neigbourhood.

Residents are urged to check their garage doors to ensure they are closed and man-doors are locked. If suspicious persons or vehicles are observed in your neighbourhood, call the police immediately.
