(NORTH HURON, ON) – A 47 year old female is facing an Over 80 charge after she was stopped on October 18, 2014. Just before 8:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a GMC Sierra pickup truck on Blyth Road near Donnybrook Line. Upon speaking with the driver officers noticed open alcohol inside the vehicle and also noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.
A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a fail. She was arrested for failing the roadside screening test and was transported back to detachment for breath tests. She provided two samples of her breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 47 year old Nicole SHUTTLEWORTH from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. She has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on December 11, 2014. She has received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
