The Wingham BIA is apparently trying to come up with a monument to
put at the edge of our town. The best idea they have come up
with is to erect a metal arch. This arch looks like an
advertisement for a Morris-Turnberry business that builds fabric
covered structures. The Wingham BIA thinks this will help
brand” Wingham and attract people to Wingham to take photos beside
this truly unique landmark. The best description of this
structure we have heard so far is “Suicide Monkey Bars”.
The picture below is an approximation of the arch proposed by the
Wingham BIA. There is no doubt there would be a pair of shoes
hanging from it within the first 24hours of completion
