(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Listowel will officially be presented with two new bicycles donated by local service clubs. Service club representative and OPP personnel will gather at Listowel KinStation, 555 Binning St. West in Listowel, on Thursday August 08, 2013 at 11 a.m. for this event.
The North Perth OPP Detachment has utilized bicycles for specialized patrols in Listowel for well over 14 years. The current bicycles showed extensive wear and tear” from the many years of service and were in desperate need of replacement.
The Listowel Kinsmen and the Listowel Legion volunteered to purchase two “Opus†27 speed mountain bikes. “Only Sports†in Listowel supplied the expertise and assistance with the acquisition of the bikes. The bicycles have been decaled and modified with all required safety and police equipment
