Name Of Deceased Cyclist Released

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Next of kin notification has now been completed and the cyclist has been identified as Evlynne LOUBERT age 67 of Middlesex Centre, ON.

The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police would like to thank all those involved in determining the identity of Evlynne.

At this time the investigation is still open as to the causal factors of the collision.

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On August 1, 2017, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency medical Services (EMS) and the Middlesex Centre Fire Service responded to a collision on Bear Creek Road, between Sinclair Drive and Ivan Drive.

A female cyclist travelling southbound on Bear Creek Road was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

The female cyclist is deceased as a result of the collision. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) officers are on scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Bear Creek Road is closed between Sinclair Drive and Ivan Drive.

The identity of the deceased is withheld pending Next of Kin (NOK) notification.

Bear Creek Road will be closed for several hours. Motorists will have to find alternative routes.
