On Friday September 19th, at approximately 12:40pm, a 62 year old female cyclist with her 3 year old grandson were east bound on Benjamin road in the City of Waterloo when they were struck from behind by a 2003 pickup truck being driven by a 53 year old Waterloo man. The female and the child sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital by ambulance. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking that any witnesses call the Traffic Branch at 653-7700 ext 8791.
