MVC Impaired Driver

On Monday evening at approximately 7pm, a vehicle was westbound on Collier St. just west of Mulcaster St. when the driver lost control and crossed over the centre median and struck a tree in front of City Hall before hitting two other parked vehicles. One of the parked vehicles was occupied by a 12 year old child who suffered minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention. A 38 year old Barrie man was arrested at the scene and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He provided samples of 180mgs and 190mgs. The accused was charged with impaired operation, drive over 80mgs and take auto without consent. This male was also the subject of two driver’s licence suspensions.
