Shortly before 11pm, a 55 year old Barrie Male was on his way home from work driving on Huronia Rd. At that time a coyote ran in front of his vehicle . The male lost control of his vehicle and struck a hydro pole shearing the pole in half. Luckily the driver was not injured, however the damage to his vehicle was extensive. Emergency Services including the police attended the scene. The investigating officer determined that no charges will be laid in this occurrence. Hydro crews remain in the area installing a new pole. There may be traffic interruptions through the night on Huronia Rd. between Herrell Rd. and Webb St.
