On Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at approximately 1525 hrs., a brown Honda Civic driven by a 56 yr. old Waterloo woman was westbound in the left turn lane of Homer Watson Blvd. approaching New Dundee Road. At the same time, a blue Freightliner tractor trailer was southbound on Homer Watson Blvd. approaching New Dundee Road. The Honda began to turn left onto New Dundee Road and was struck by the tractor trailer. The driver of the Honda was extricated from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Cambridge Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Police attended and investigated.
