Friday afternoon at approximately 1:30pm, a 74 year old Barrie man was shopping for a new vehicle at a car lot near the intersection Essa Rd. and Anne St. S. While leaving the premise the male mistakenly accelerated the vehicle instead of braking, causing his vehicle to strike a new pick up truck. Fortunately there were no injuries, however damage to both vehicles was substantial. No charges will be laid in this incident.
