(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Sunday September 07, 2014 shortly after 2 p.m., The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a motorist who was following a vehicle that was fluctuating in speed, and weaving from side to side in the lane of traffic.

A Perth County OPP officer intercepted the suspect vehicle north of St.Marys. The male driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville, where two Intoxilyzer breath tests indicated he had consumed more than the legal limit of alcohol.

Murray WILLIS (49) of Zorra Twp. has been charged with, “driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood”, and “driving while ability impaired”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on October 06, 2014, to answer to these charges. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
