Murray HICKEY – Drug Possession X2

(GODERICH, ON) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 53 year old male driver from North Huron following a traffic stop on January 13, 2015. At approximately 11:45 p.m. a Huron OPP officer spotted a Pontiac Sunfire turn off of Courthouse Square onto Kingston Street. The officer stopped the driver to inform him the trunk of his vehicle was insecure.

When the driver exited his vehicle to secure his trunk the officer noticed the male had a piece of drug paraphernalia sticking out of his pant pocket. When the officer questioned the driver about the item the driver immediately tossed it into a nearby snowbank. The driver was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest revealed the driver was in possession of illegal drugs.

As a result, Murray HICKEY, 53 years of age, from North Huron has been charged with two counts of: Possession of a Schedule I Substance. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 2, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
