The streets of St. Marys went back in time on Tuesday October 28. The town’s downtown core was transformed into a 19th century community as the CBC Television series “The Murdoch Mysteries†came to town. The residents of St. Marys filled the streets to watch the cast film the episode that will be scheduled to air on national television next spring.
All though Yannick Bisson who plays detective William Murdoch was not on set on Tuesday other characters such as Dr. Julia Ogden (Helen Joy), Const. George Crabtree (Jonny Harris), Insp. Brackenreid (Thomas Craig) and Dr. Emily Grace (Georgina Reilly) were all spotted in the act. A couple landmarks to look for when watching this episode when it airs are the former Lyric Theatre as well as the St Marys Public Library.
Students from a number of Avon Maitland schools took advantage of shoot in St. Marys to meet and mingle with their favorite stars from the Murdoch Mysteries.
