Multiple Stabbings On Maple Ave.

Barrie Police received multiple 911 calls after bar close with regards to a disturbance on Maple Ave. On arrival police located 2 males that had been stabbed. Investigation revealed that there had been a physical altercation between 2 Barrie males and a group of young men visiting from Woodbridge.

Though it appears the Woodbridge group was responsible for initiating a fight, the incident resulted in two of the Woodbridge men being taken to hospital with serious injuries. One of the males has been transferred to a Toronto hospital for surgery. The Barrie males were located nearby and arrested for assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.

This investigation is continuing. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident at Maple just north of Dunlop is asked to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Jason Storey at 725-7025 ext. #2128
