Multiple People Arrested in Relation to Two Separate Bank Robberies

On Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 7:15 p.m., the London Police Service responded to a report of a robbery at the TD Canada Trust Branch located at 1055 Wonderland Road North in the City of London. Upon police arrival, it was determined that two suspects had entered the bank, armed with a weapon, and demanded cash. The suspects were in the bank for a short period of time and fled from the area after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects left in a vehicle.

A short time later, at 7:43 pm., police received a report of a second robbery at the TD Canada Trust located at 1420 Ernest Avenue. What appeared to be the same two suspects, entered the bank armed with a weapon and demanded cash. An undisclosed amount of cash was obtained and again the suspects fled the area in a vehicle.

At approximately 8:20 pm, the suspect vehicle from the robberies was located in the area of Emerson Avenue in the City of London. Following a track by a London Police Canine Unit, two adult males were arrested in the area. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of three adult males and one adult female, who were located at a private residence on Emerson Avenue. In addition to the arrest of six suspects, two vehicles have also been seized as part of the investigation.

There were no injuries as a result of these robberies and the investigation into both incidents is continuing.
