Multiple Bank Robberies, suspect to be identified

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a series of recent bank robberies and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible.

On January 15, 2015, at approximately 4:00pm, a lone male suspect entered a bank situated along the 100 block of Bank Street. The suspect, with a hood and scarf in place, waited in line and then approached the bank employee and made a demand for money. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.

Later the same day, at approximately 5:45pm, the same suspect entered another bank, this time along the 0-100 block of Bank St. The suspect made a demand for money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.

On January 23, 2015, at approximately 4:45pm, a robbery was attempted at a bank situated along the 100 block of Kent St. A lone male suspect entered the bank and made a demand for money. When approached and asked to remove his sunglasses, the suspect fled the premises empty handed. There were no injuries.

The suspect for these robberies is described as being a Caucasian male, 25-35 years,average build, approximately 5”8”(173cm). The suspect had a thin moustache and facial hair. During one of the robberies the suspect carried a Mickey Mouse knapsack. (images attached)
