Mugging In Goderich – Suspect Description Released

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers and Huron County Crime unit members are investigating a robbery that occurred last night in the Town of Goderich. At 9:20 p.m. Huron OPP Officers responded to a mini mall parking lot located at the intersection of Victoria Street North and Brock Street after receiving a 9-1-1 call for assistance.

Officers learned a 26 year old male was walking along Victoria Street toward the mini-mall when he was approached by an unknown male. The attacker asked the male if he had any drugs or money. The attacker then punched the male victim in the face and stole a small quantity of cash.

The victim was transported to Alexandra & Marine General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An OPP canine unit attended the scene and a track of the area was completed; the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as:

A Caucasian male, between 20 to 30 years old.

Approximately 6′ tall, approximately 150 lbs. with a thin build and short hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey hoody and dark pants.
