Motorcycle VS Pickup Collision – One Airlifted To London

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On May 21, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Huron County OPP officers responded to the scene of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Huron Road and Black’s Point Road. Officers were assisted on scene by Huron County paramedics and Goderich Fire Department personnel.

A Kawasaki motorcycle traveling eastbound on Huron Road collided with a GMC Sierra pickup truck and camper trailer that was attempting to cross Huron Road heading south from Benmiller Line to Black’s Point Road.

A 61 year old motorcycle driver from Central Huron was transported via air ambulance to Victoria Hospital in London. His injuries are non-life threatening. A 34 year old female passenger on the motorcycle was transported to Alexandra and Marine General Hospital in Goderich. Her injuries are also non-life threatening.

A 43 year old driver of the GMC pickup truck from Sarnia and his passengers a 41 year old female and 16 year old male also from Sarnia were uninjured in the collision.

Huron OPP continues to investigate.
