(HURON COUNTY) – Since January 2, 2012 Huron County OPP officers have attended and investigated more than 20 motor vehicle collisions. Two of these collisions have involved minor injuries with the rest involving property damage only.
In whiteout conditions on January 3, 2012 at 6:45 a.m., an east bound tractor-trailer loaded with salt drove off of Huron Road near Whys Line. The driver was not injured and the load of salt has been salvaged.
Note: A portion of Huron Road between Whys Line and Benmiller Line was temporarily closed today for removal of the transport truck. The road was reopened at 1:10 p.m.
