On January 16th 2014, at 9:18am police attended the intersection of Bayfield Street and Collier Street in response to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
A 23 year female resident of Innisfil was operating a GMC pick up truck travelling south bound on Bayfield Street attempting a left turn at the intersection onto Collier Street. At this time a 18 year old Barrie male was crossing from the south side of Collier Street traveling north bound and struck by the GMC truck.
The female was subsequently charged by police with fail to yield to pedestrian and the male was transported to Royal Victoria Hospital for non life threating injuries.
