On Saturday September 22, 2012 at 2:55 p.m., Guelph Police Traffic officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle accident at the corner of Speedvale Avenue East and Waverly Drive Guelph. Investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling eastbound through the construction zone on Speedvale Avenue when it lost control, crossed into the westbound lane, mounted a grass embankment on the north side of Speedvale and struck a hydro pole.
Guelph Wellington EMS transported the 50-year-old Guelph male driver to the hospital.
The male was charged with Careless Driving and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court in November.
