Motor Vehicle accident

Barrie Police and Barrie Fire responded to a three (3) car accident at Mapleview Dr and Bayview Ave.

A vehicle was driven east on Mapleview Dr at a rate of speed that was clearly too fast for the road conditions.

The vehicle came upon two slower vehicles and was unable to avoid a collision.

The suspect vehicle struck the second vehicle which in turn was pushed into a third vehicle. All vehicles sustained moderate damage.

Mapleview Dr was closed for a short period of time to allow Police to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.

A 27 year old Barrie male has been charged with careless driving.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries at Royal Victoria Hospital.
