Motor Cycle Rider Airlifted To London Hospital

(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On August 1, 2012 at 8:14 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle, along Bruce County Road 3 in Carrick Township, north of Mildmay. Officers arrived to find a Red Pontiac Sunfire on Stauffer Road had pulled into the path of a Brown Suzuki GM4 travelling along Bruce County Road 3, Carrick Township. The impact sent the motorcycle into the ditch west of the roadway.

The rider was taken to the Walkerton hospital before being airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London with serious, but non life threatening, injuries.

The driver of the Sunfire, 20 year old Justin DAHMS of Walkerton, has been charged with Careless Driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 2, 2012 to answer to the charge.
