Motion Alarm Detects Burglar – Suspect Description Released

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred yesterday morning at a residence located on Dashwood Road near Parr Line. Just before 8:00 a.m. Huron OPP responded to the residence after receiving notification that a motion sensor alarm had been tripped at the residence. Within minutes officers arrived on scene and began to inspect the property. Officers found the rear patio door had been forced open and a liquor cabinet inside the residence had been ransacked.

The thief was able to flee the property with some bottles of liquor prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as being 5’8” to 5’10” in height, wearing a long hooded jacket that was olive green to greyish colour, a toque, and boots. The suspect was also wearing a backpack and carrying a black bag.
