A Poem For Town Council
To Councils past and new,
You have let us down through and through.
Lowering taxes is your task.
This you must or you will gasp.
A prosperous town you must build,
Or feel the wrath of our Guild.
Many in town you have annoyed,
No Canadian Tire, Super School, Shoppers, just a void.
These jobs we did need,
For we have families we must feed.
Widows and young families can barely pay their taxes,
Yet you spend it, like it’s coming out our asses.
Funds spent with out public tender,
This we know, you are a great offender.
With your self interest set aside,
This new guideline you must abide.
Lowering Taxes and a Safer Community,
This should be, your sole Duty.
Mend your ways and you shall stay,
Heed us not and you will pay.
We are many, you are few,
You have no idea what technology and the Youth can do.
Despots and CEOs we have destroyed,
Funds liberated then deployed.
THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN,
It is about time we have spoken.
Gang rapists reputations held in tact,
Names not released, that is a fact.
This topic is not small,
We josh you not, all three will fall.
Ignorance and Superstition will soon be forsaken,
Science and logic will have overtaken.
The Era of the Scientist is at hand!
Accountability and Transparency is what we Demand!
If you want to know who is talking,
Down the halls of Madill, some of us are walking.
Fix our town and community!
Or face our wrath and coming mutiny!
