More Wingham Businesses Closing

This Spring, Josephine street will be dug up from Amberley Road to the Fire Hall. This has many businesses wondering if it is worth staying open during construction. During construction Josephine Street will only be open to a gravel sidewalk for pedestrians, while vehicles will obviously be detoured.

Flowers on Main posted on their door that they are closed. A search for on the mls system shows the building is for sale with an asking price of $95,000.

Last night Baby Boom announced on their Facebook page that they are going out of business in two months, as the building is sold.

The full serve Esso station no longer sells gas and now sells a selection of vehicles.

On the bright side, Pioneer Hi-Bred recently announced they will be building a seed processing facility east of Wingham. They estimate there will be 15 full time jobs, with about 100 seasonal jobs.
