(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel due to the severe winter weather conditions. Heavy winds and blowing snow are producing widespread whiteout conditions throughout the county. Motorists are encouraged to post-pone non-essential travel until the weather and road conditions improve.
Please note: Huron County OPP has now closed the following roadways:
Bluewater Veterans Highway (Highway 21) from Amberley Road to Dashwood Road north of Grand Bend.
Huron Road (Highway 8) between Goderich and Seaforth
Blyth Road (County #25) from Bluewater Veteran’s Highway to the village of Blyth (London Road)
Mill Road (County #3) from Bayfield to Egmondville.
Zurich-Hensall Road (County #84) from St. Joseph’s to Hensall
