(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to receive reports of property taken from vehicles.
On July 14, 2013 at 6:25 pm, a wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Harbour Street in Kincardine. A quantity of cash, identification and credit cards was taken.
On July 14, 2013 at 4:44 pm, a quantity of loose change and electronics were reported stolen from a vehicle parked along Mary Street in Bruce Township.
The Lock it or Lose it initiative suggests rolling up the windows, locking the doors and pocket the keys. Always park in a well-lit area and never leave valuables in plain sight. Securing your valuables is a means of increasing the effort required to commit a crime which will lead to a reduction in crime.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or send a web-tip to crimestop-gb.org, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
