(WEST PERTH, ON) – Once again, coin boxes were the target of thieves in the Municipality of West Perth.
During the overnight hours of February 15, 2018, the Mitchell Car Wash coin boxes were damaged and an undisclosed amount of money was removed. The damaged property was discovered on February 16, 2018.
Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the incident, and are asking for assistance from the public in identifying those responsible.
Residents and businesses throughout the county are reminded that criminal activity occurs everywhere. Secure all property and always remove keys and valuables from vehicles. Criminals look for quick and easy opportunities, and often use the cover of darkness when seeking out their next target.
