(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On April 28, 2017, at approximately 9:27 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a female missing from a westbound VIA Rail passenger train, west of London, Ontario.
West Region (WR) Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the WR Canine Unit officers were deployed to assist in the ground search.
The 35-year-year old female from Etobicoke, Ontario, was located near Appin, Ontario, and airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
