(Listowel, ON) On December 11, 2010 at approximately 7:30 pm, Perth OPP officers were dispatched to a missing male in the town of Listowel who had not been seen since 6:15 pm. The 72 year old man, who suffers from dementia and other medical conditions, wandered away from his residence wearing only jeans, a sweatshirt and running shoes.
Officers from Perth County, Huron County, Wellington County, Grey County and the OPP Emergency Response Team along with the OPP Canine Unit all converged on the area to assist in the search due to the urgency.
Happily, at approximately 8:45 pm the man was located lying in the snow. He was transported to the Listowel Hospital where he was treated for exposure.
