Micheal Hak – Drunk Driving

(Huron East, ON) On February 7, 2010 at approximately 3:30 pm Huron OPP officers were set up with a RIDE checkpoint on Front Street in Huron East. A vehicle entered the checkpoint and officers spoke to the male driver. An odour of alcohol could be detected on the drivers’ breath. The officer formed the grounds to read the demand for the driver to provide a roadside sample of his breath. The driver complied but failed his test. He was then arrested and taken to the Sebringville OPP Detachment where he met with an Intoxilizer Technician to provide two more samples of is breath. The results of his tests confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level that was more than two times above the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, Micheal HAK (49) of Seaforth has been charged with one count of Drive Motor Vehicle With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He will answer to his charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 12, 2010. His drivers’ licence was suspended for 90 days.
