(PERTH EAST, ON) – A 28 year old male is facing Impaired Driving and Fail to Provide Breath Sample charges following a traffic stop on January 19, 2014. At approximately 2:30 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a red Volvo sedan at Main Street North and Fulton Street in Milverton. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noted the driver had been consuming alcohol and was displaying signs that he was impaired by alcohol.
He was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Listowel OPP Detachment for breath tests. The driver failed to provide suitable samples of his breath for the purposes of determining his Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC).
As a result, Michael WEBER, 28, from Milverton has been charged with Impaired Driving and Fail to Provide Breath Samples. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Stratford on February 10, 2014. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
